DDI Executive Biographies
Glenn W. Thames - President
Glenn Thames is an experienced professional with thirty years experience spanning health care, electronic commerce, banking, manufacturing, and local, state, and federal governments. In conjunction with the medical field, Mr. Thames participated in developing the functional requirements for the environmental management information system at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. He also participated in the design and implementation of a client servicer application for the largest public health department in South Carolina. This application allowed health department personnel to service more clients, using fewer health service personnel, while increasing patient contact time and services offered. Mr. Thames also designed, developed, and implemented an on-line patient accounting system utilizing a centralized database for a local area hospital. This application replaced several disjointed applications and provided better patient and insurance billing, as well as decreased the hospitals’ cash flow.
Ann Gunning – Chief Information Officer
Ann Y. Gunning is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Decision Dynamics Inc. (DDI), a company committed to excellence in developing software products and delivering superior customer service. Ms. Gunning joined DDI in 2005 as Project Manager of the Electronic Liens and Titles (ELT) program. She organized the ELT software development department and established the information technology operations center for DDI. In partnership with the South Carolina Bankers Association, Ms. Gunning successfully worked with the South Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to establish the ELT program for the state.
Hobart O. Trotter, Jr., Government Relations
Hobart O. Trotter, Jr. provides government relations consulting services with an emphasis in information technology and procurement issues. He is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and is a 1980 graduate of the University of South Carolina. Mr. Trotter has worked with various technology vendors providing solutions to the State of South Carolina for over twenty years. During that time, Mr. Trotter has worked closely with state agencies and their management teams, including the Budget and Control Board, the state Office of the CIO, the Chief Procurement Officers and their purchasing agents, the state Office of Information Resource Management (the State Data Center) and the state's agency technology directors.
William P. Moran, M.D., M.S., Chief Medical Officer
After completing his undergraduate degree work at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Virginia, William P. “Bill” Moran went on to attend medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and then went on to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at Georgetown Hospital in 1986. He served in the National Health Service Core from 1986-1990 before earning his Master’s degree in epidemiology and completing his fellowship in geriatrics in 1992 at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. W. P. Moran’s medical interests include general internal medicine, geriatric medicine, managed care, and medical informatics.
